2013-11-29 13.10.39-2With the holidays fast approaching, the search is on for the new and trending. But Christmas is all about tradition, and so I am sharing some of my top five (in random order).

Angel on the tree – Decorating the tree is a tradition in itself – there’s Christmas music and the same ornaments made and collected over the years by me and my husband, my children, and now grandchildren. Our “scrapbook” Christmas tree is another story in itself, documenting our lives together, but hanging the angel is a special task, reserved for youngest, who can be easily lifted or the tallest – it started with my daughter, Dani and continued for her sister, Darcy and brother, David and Darcy’s son, Noah, continued it the last couple of years. Portia’s up next!

In the “The Twelve Days of Christmas” cousins Darcy and Noah experience holiday adventures that criss-cross the state.

To start a new Christmas tradition, get your copy of the book, read it with those you love and discover the joys and uniqueness of Indiana.
